SWAMPY BAYOU, LOUISIANA- Elmo, the beloved character from PBS’ Sesame Street, has been found beheaded in a hunting accident in a swamp, just outside New Orleans. The furry red monster was hiking alone when a hunter’s rifle picked him off from 200 yards.
“I thought it was the devil,” said hunter Beauford McGillicuddy. “Or some small furry devil’s assistant. That’s why I mounted the head, and hung it up at my lodge.”
Elmo Monster was 3 and a half years old, still… somehow. He leaves behind his fellow monsters on Sesame Street.
