I attended a gala celebration at the Museum of Modern Art last night held by the Center for Architecture. I have nothing to do with the Center for Architecture, and I have no idea what the Center of Architecture was actually celebrating. But here’s what I do know: they served free alcohol.
Other things which were also free:
- Admission to MoMA
- Livestrong-esque rubber bracelet that said ‘Center for Architecture’
- Coat check
- De-freakin-licious hors d’oeuvres
One of the few perks from my job is that we do work for a lot of museums, and every so often it’s for a place like MoMA. As a thank you, we were allowed to attend this event. And attend it I did. There’s nothing quite like getting sloshed with your girlfriend on someone else’s dollar and then getting to gaze at modern art.
