My Highest Possible Recommendation

Arrested Development

I cried all night when I heard Arrested Development was being canceled, and I don’t even own a TV. Apparently less people watched the show than read this blog. Which is why I just bought Arrested Development Season 1 and Season 2.

I had been simply downloading the episodes off bit torrent, which still confounds many, but figured I’d put my money where my mouth is. Also Amazon is selling them as a bundle for 10 bucks off. Two seasons of the show for under 40 bucks, not bad. No word when mini-season 3 is coming out though.

But since money talks, and Fox listens, Arrested still has a chance. They brought Family Guy back on the air, and are considering doing the same for Futurama, based solely on the strength of its DVD sales. They don’t seem to attribute high DVD sales with fanatical fan bases, which Arrested clearly has, and that’s why we (the fans) have to go through this unavoidable hiatus.

Do yourself (and me, I get a cut) a favor and pick up both seasons. It gets my highest possible recommendation. The show is meant to be watched over and over again, unlike many, many DVDs out there. The running gags are seasons long, and there’s some ridiculous foreshadowing. I’m even thinking about an Annotated Arrested Development Companion, but I’ll save that for another time.

It’s fewer people. Fewer people watch the show.

Now listen HERMANO, if you can’t use english properly you don’t deserve a blog.
