File this under things I wish I had thought of. I can’t stand most blockbuster movies, and I can’t fathom paying $10.25 (what the hell is the quarter for?!) for them either. And then there are the TV and print ads with their flowery praise that is such bald-faced lying, I feel like it’s opposite day, where crappy and predictable means genre and psyche shattering. But the people over at New Yorkish do a regular feature where they take the movie poster, of just such an inane movie, and put actual quotes from reputable reviewers, not some AM DJ from Des Moines.
