Waterfront Alliance Postcard

Domino Sugar

Someone from the Waterfront Alliance contacted me about using this picture I took of the Domino Sugar plant in Williamsburg as a postcard. I said sure, for the right price. She said they couldn’t pay me, but they could give a stack when they’re printed. I said, beggars can’t be choosers okay.

I’d hate to see that factory go, even in the name of progress. Especially since the name of progress really means a glut of luxury housing.

And so ends the tale of my first published work. If I like you, expect one in the mail.

That’s a pretty standard line in the publishing biz. “We can’t pay you, but here’s a bunch of free copies.” Such bullshit.

    Congrats on the success though!
